Agents, if you have a deadline for your client’s queries, then say that in your query letter…not a week before your deadline comes due. And really? I only got it a month ago.
Argh.

Heh. Nice to know agents can be as clueless as writers.
Nice to know agents TOO have deadlines 🙂
Can you further elaborate for an agent to be?
Fred: When an agent sends out a query letter to an editor, they need to let the editor know if there is a deadline for all offers. In this case, I had only had the proposal for a month – standard protocol says we have about 3 months.
The agent wrote me out of nowhere to say that I had another week, and then she was closing off all queries, and felt I had been given plenty of time. Not cool. She did admit to being a new agent. This, I believe.
